These days, it is so easy to get a speeding ticket.Speeding cameras or safety cameras
or police enforcement cameras - they have plenty of names - are everywhere.
It is so easy to get a big fine when enjoying a drive - and it is
possible in some areas to get two or three in one day! Get too many
speeding tickets and you can lose your licence.
Without a driver's licence how do you get to work? Not easy. So, it is well worth do
all you can to avoid speeding tickets, and if you get one to find
how to beat a speeding ticket - here's how..
Should you see a flashing red and blue light in your rearview mirror there are some
things you can do there and then to help you to beat the speeding
ticket and either pay a reduced fine or in some cases no fine at all.
Anyone who has been pulled over for speeding knows how it's tempting
to argue with the police officer. Don't argue. Be polite.
Certain reactions that can help sway the officer to your side. It's an old belief that
acting as though you don't know what you did wrong won't help. That
might not be the case. The same can be said for acting scared or upset.
Police officers are first and foremost people just like you and if
you react in a way that gets sympathy they may let you leave with
just a stern warning. That's not to say that you should break into
tears when the policeman comes to your car but showing some emotion
certainly cannot hurt.
If it looks certain that the officer will book you and you are in the USA, but you were not far over the limit you could ask if the officer would be willing to cite a reduced statute on the
speeding ticket

. In PA, for example, a PA3111A is a catch-all moving violation that carries no points. This way, you will not get increased insurance premiums, and usually a small fine.
Depending on the size of the speeding ticket it might be in your best interest to consult
an attorney who specializes in traffic violations or ticket specialists
- retired police officers who just want to help the average citizen.
Their knowledge about speeding and traffic affords them insight into
some of the lesser known loopholes.
Another alternative to hiring someone to fight the speeding ticket is to do it yourself.
Instead of paying the fine you attend court on the date specified
on the original citation the officer presented to you. Your plea is
of course going to be "not guilty." Again there are many
small things the motorist can do in court to better their chances
of not paying such a high fine.
When facing a speeding ticket you should remember that the fine most likely isn't
going to be the only priceyou will pay for going above the speed limit.
Speeding tickets often mean an increase in insurance premiums. In
some cases, depending on the violation the fine can be hefty.
Being clocked going well over the speed limit could cost hundreds of dollars
- that is when you take into account the fine for getting the speeding
ticket and the increase in insurance premiums. So, first, be emotionally
upset, and say you did not realize how fast you were going - women
can benefit from crying - and if you still get a ticket fight it.
Then you have a chance of beating a speeding ticket.
