Center Lane Drivers Avoid Speeding Tickets - a simple but effective idea.

One way to reduce your chance of getting caught in a speed trap is to drive in the center lane on a three lane expressway. This only works against traps though - if there is a laser or radar trap set up permanently it beams onto all lanes.

You might think that any lane will be the same, but this is not so. You see in the middle lane you are not so conspicuous, as there is traffic moving along both sides of you. This is a good tactic when all the traffic is moving fast. It is impossible for the officer to getr every single car that is speeding so they concentrate on thosse that LOOK as if they are going the fastest.

One way to get caught is to speed up and get away fromn a bunch of cars traveling at the same speed. They are very conspicuous and show up as a target for the police. Any car traveling alone and at a high speed stands out and the police will take notice. If you are within a group of cars, you can accelerate without it being noticed so long as your speed is not much different from the cars around you.

If you do travel in a group of other cars but you are in one the outside lane you make yourself clearly visible to the radar or laser gun directed towards oncoming traffic. If you are in the center lane you can see both sides of the road. This can help in spotting the police before the people driving in

Anyway, to avoid drawing attention to yourself, avoid changing lanes frequently. It will keep you hidden from the police and their radar or laser speed detectors.

You see, avoiding is just as much about driving so the police do not notice you, as it is doing anything clever. As always, prevention is better than the cure of winning a court case. This is the way to reduce your risk of getting a speeding ticket.
